Las Vegas | 2012 (See the full album here on photobucket)

I know I’m always like a month late on these posts, but here it is. We had such a good time out there. It was my (and Ryann’s) first time going to Vegas.

We arrived on Sunday night (April 29) and started off strong, thanks to Ian. He upgraded our rooms to “strip view” at the MGM Grand. So needless to say we had a nice set up. So after some jumping around on the beds (like the adults that we are), we made our way down the strip. We ended up at Bill’s Gambling Hall where I managed to win some money on Roulette. Once it 5 AM, we decided to call it a night and headed back.

The next day was half work for the Slickplan team and the second half was for Ryann and I to spend our 2 year anniversary. So we just walked around, rode the roller coaster at New York New York Hotel, got some good food, caught a little bit of the Bellagio fountain show, and of course a romantic gondola ride at the Venetian. We came back to the hotel to meet up for more, but we we’re tapped out.

So now it was Tuesday and the group was to be at the conference all day then they would present their app to a board of judges. Meanwhile - I went out and burnt about 2/3 of the money I won from the first night at a few casinos. lol. Oh well. The team got 2nd place at the app contest, but they also got to meet a lot of new people. It was all around good for them. So Ryann, Curtis, and I get dressed to the 9s and head out. First we stop by NYNY Hotel for some pizza, then we go to the shopping center at Crystals. This mall is incredible, but expensive! So we finally go and meet up with Ryann’s cousin Rosa and her boyfriend at Minus 5. This place was so gnarly! The entire bar is made out of ice. The bar, the seats, the tables, the chandeliers, and even the glasses that our drinks came in. We had to put on coats and gloves just to go in. Awesome. So then we ride over to the Palms where Rosa was staying and got our passes to get into the club on top of the Palms: Ghostbar. Now this place is what you picture, when you think about Vegas. Incredible view, expensive drinks, and loud music. After they closed, we went to the bar on the other building’s roof called Moon. Which was much more of a dance club. Still equally as cool. Then they closed so we went to do some more gambling. Before we knew it the sun was coming up! So we grabbed some breakfast at Denny’s, I packed my bags, and headed to the airport. Needless to say it was a loooong flight back, but totally worth it. I’d do it all again in a heart beat.

At this point, I’m never really sure what my next adventure will be and I hope to keep it like that for a while. Rest assured, I will make a post when it happens.

cheers!
